The Department of Animal Science of the University of Thessaly invites interested parties to apply for the Master of Science (MSc) Program entitled: "MSc in Dairy Cattle Management", for the academic year 2026-2027, leading to the award of a Master's Degree. The minimum duration of studies for the MSc with full-time study is two semesters and with part-time study 4 semesters.

Graduates of Higher Education Institutes (HEI; Universities and Technological Educational Institutes) of the country and abroad may apply to the MSc, and in particular graduates of the following disciplines:

1. Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Sciences, Environmental and other relevant discipline.
2. Graduates of other HEI with relevance to the subject of the specific MSc which, on a case-by-case basis, are evaluated by the Graduate Student Selection Committee.

The MSc program starts at the fall semester. The duration of studies is two (2) academic semesters for full time studies and four (4) semesters for part time studies. In the first semester six (6) compulsory courses are taught, in which students critically present original assays. In the second semester, students develop their research thesis. The courses are taught in English from Monday to Friday in person in Larissa (Campus Gaiopolis). The percentage of distance lectures does not exceed 25%, in accordance with the provisions of par. 1 of article 88 of Law 4957/2022.

The total tuition fees of the MSc program are 3,800 € and are paid in three (3) installments: 1st with the registration (800 €), 2nd before the start of the 1st semester (1,500 €) and 3rd before the start of 2nd semester (1,500 €).

The maximum number of admissions is twenty-two (22) people.

The selection of Postgraduate Students will be realized following a personal interview and considering the following criteria:

1. Degree/diploma degree with a minimum score of "Very Good" (30%),
2. Level of foreign language knowledge (20%),
3. Publications in scientific journals, announcements at scientific conferences (5%),
4. Possession of a second Degree or Master's Degree (5%),
5. Relevant professional or research experience (5%),
6. Recommendation Letters (5%),
7. Interview (30%).

1. Application Form.
2. Photocopy of the police ID or passport for foreigners.
3. Complete and updated curriculum vitae, which will include information on the candidates' studies, scientific and professional activity.
4. Copies of degrees and certificates of analytical grades or a declaration that the completion of their graduation is expected 10 days before the beginning of the MSc program.
5. Copies of certificates of foreign languages (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - for English at least B1 level).
6. Evidence of professional, educational experience, and scientific activity in general (if any).
7. Up to two Letters of Recommendation.

The interviews will take place on August 26 and 27, 2026. After the selection of the graduate students, the above required supporting documents must be submitted in paper form, by September 24, 2026, to the Secretariat of the MSc to the following address:
