The deadline for applying for the LLM in International Shipping Law in Piraeus is 2 September 2019. Students who have made applications before or on this date should make sure to receive their unconditional offer in time for the induction and enrolment session held at the beginning of September.
We reserve the right to interview either in person or via Skype applicants with a non-law degree background but with relevant professional experience directly related to this programme.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Law graduates
A degree in law, or a degree with substantial law content, of at least 2.1 honours (or equivalent). Law graduates with 2.2 honours who also have other legal qualifications and/or substantial professional legal experience may also qualify.
Non-law graduates
As the programme will be principally addressed to working professionals, non-law graduates will also be considered on the basis of professional experience that directly relates to the specialist LLM taught courses.
Membership of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers along with professional experience will also be considered.
A full and detailed CV is required for all applications and is particularly relevant where professional experience needs to be considered.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Non-native English speakers are required to demonstrate that they meet the Queen Mary minimum English language entry requirements through a recognised English language qualification, namely IELTS, ILEC or the PTE Academic English Test.
