I am delighted to announce a fully-funded PhD vacancy commencing autumn 2019 within my research group at the University of Birmingham. Funded by the University of Birmingham as one of its Global Challenge Scholarships and open to excellent applicants regardless of nationality, the project aims to:
1. Quantify exposure to flame retardants and health impacts in populations exposed to e-waste treatment.
2. Further understanding of factors driving e-waste treatment in 2 African countries to maximise economic benefits while minimising the risks.
Further details on the Global Challenges Scholarship scheme and how to apply may be found here with specific details of this project available here. Informal enquiries from interested applicants are welcomed. To do so, please contact Professor Stuart Harrad directly.
The deadline for applications is March 31st 2019.
Please feel free to circulate to potential applicants.
