Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας: Field Archeology in Greece Interdisciplinarity and Cutting-Edge Technologies (2025-2026)

The University of Thessaly is pleased to announce the launch of its new English-taught Master’s Program at the Department of History, Archaeology, and Social Anthropology, titled “Field Archaeology in Greece: Interdisciplinarity and Cutting-Edge Technologies.” The application period is open from February 1st to June 30th 2025. 

The program, starting in October 2025, is designed to attract international students from around the world who are engaged in Archaeology and the Humanities. Its in-person educational activities will offer participants a unique opportunity for hands-on involvement in archaeological research in Greece, combining field training with the most advanced technological methods.

Duration: 3 semesters (120 ECTS)
Tuition Fees: €4,000
Language of Instruction: English
Teaching Methods: In-person courses and field research
Partner Universities: The program is conducted in collaboration with the Ionian University and the Roma Tre University.
Program Director: Professor Alexandros Mazarakis Ainian, University of Thessaly.
