The Department of Dentistry, School of Health Sciences of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) organizes for the Academic year of 2023-2024 a Program of Postgraduate Studies in “Dental & Craniofacial Bioengineering and Applied Biomaterials”, according to the provisions of Chapter 9th [Organization and Operation of Second and Third Cycle Programs] of Greek Law.4957/21-07-2022 (Government Gazette 141/vol.A /́ 21-07-2022), "New Horizons in Higher Education Institutions: Strengthening the quality, functionality and connection of Higher Education Institutes (A.E.I.) with the society and other provisions") as modified and valid and the decision 31375/2018(HGG Vol.B 3841/6-9-2018)“Establishment of a Program of Postgraduate Studies (MSc) in Dental and Craniofacial Bioengineering & Applied Biomaterials (DCB&AB) of the Department of Dentistry of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki”, starting October, 2023 and invites anyone interested to apply.
Eligibility criteria:
The MSc in DCB&AB aims to attract international applicants from all over the world.
Applicants should hold an Undergraduate degree (minimum 2.1 honors or equivalent) in Health Sciences, School of Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer and Material Sciences and other related disciplines.
Graduates of relative departments of European Union Institutions and of foreign countries outside the European Union, which have already received the recognition of first cycle degree from DOATAP or included in the National Registry of Foreign Recognized Higher Education Institutes, (based on articles 304, 307 of Law 4957/2022) are also eligible. The degree and the certificate of analytical score (which states ECTS, detailed rating of each course with a brief description of the content and accurate description of the clinical/laboratory practice of each cognitive item) should be in the English language, or translated into the Greek language, with validation by consular authority in both cases.
Proficiency in English (written, spoken) for non-native English speakers.
Maximum number of students: 15 per year.
In addition, members of the categories Ε.Ε.P., Ε.DΙ.P.and Ε.Τ.Ε.P., if they meet the conditions of the first paragraph of par. 1 of article 34, they can be registered as supernumeraries and only one per year, per PS., if they serve in AUTh and fulfilling the conditions that the degree and the work they perform at the relevant Institution are in a subject related to DCB&AB.
Applicants’ selection criteria:
For all non-native English speaker applicants, the proof of English language competence at level C2 is a mandatory requirement and can be proven by the certificates mentioned below:
