The MSc in “Biomedical Engineering and Technology” is a 1.5-year postgraduate program (90 ECTS) conducted in English by the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the University of West Attica, Greece.
Target group:
Individuals holding a Bachelor's (B.Sc.) degree in engineering, technology, life sciences, health sciences, or related fields, who seek a career change in Biomedical Engineering.

Students have the option to spend one semester at the University of Plymouth, UK, under privileged terms and conditions. They can earn a second MSc diploma in 'Medical Engineering' alongside the MSc diploma in 'Biomedical Engineering and Technology' from UniWA. For more information, visit the official program website.

Student registration: 15-26 October 2025, physical presence mandatory, there is no online registration option available
English language test: 08 October 2025, 12:00 (Athens time) (online). Only for those who do not hold at least B2 level English certification.
Studies start: November 2025 (the weekly schedule for the 1st semester will be announced in November 2025)
Duration: 1.5 years (3 academic semesters), 90 ECTS
Course attendance: full-time, compulsory, some courses are delivered online, while others require physical presence. Each semester, the final month is dedicated to on-campus activities, including laboratory sessions, site visits, and examinations.

2If the minimum number of registered students is not met, the program will not be organized. In such a scenario, the first installment will be refunded, and students will be notified after the deadline for the first installment.
IMPORTANT NOTICE!
According to the study regulations, the MSc program will be organized provided that the minimum number of participants, which is 10 students, is reached. In the event that the MSc program is not conducted due to failure to meet the minimum required number of students, the tuition fee installments already paid by the newly enrolled students shall be refunded.

Required documents
Please note that documents 1, 2, 3 and 4 should be validated (stamp + signature from the issuing organization) and translated in English or Greek. If the original validated documents are issued in English or Greek, no translation is required.
A scanned copy of documents 1, 2, 3 and 4 is sufficient for the online application. Only successful candidates will be asked to present the original validated and translated (if needed) documents during the student registration period in October 2025.

Applicants who are currently undergraduate students and are expected to complete their studies before the start of the MSc Program in October 2025 are eligible to apply for admission. Applicants falling into this category must include with their application a certificate issued by the relevant Secretariat of their Bachelor program outlining all pending tasks required to complete their degree. Successful applicants from this group must submit their graduation certificate during the student registration period before the commencement of the MSc Program in October 2025.

Announcement of results
Eligible candidates will be called for online personal interviews from 06-08 October 2025 (online) 3 . Final evaluation results will be announced at the MSc program’s website 13-15 October 2025 (applicants will be notified by email). Evaluation criteria are described in details at https://bmet.uniwa.gr/admissions/.

Registration of successful candidates
Registration of successful candidates will take place at the premises of the MSc program at the University of West Attica beginning from 15-26 October 2025. There is no option for online registration.
