The Hamburg-based PIER Helmholtz Graduate School (PHGS) offers excellent conditions for PhD training: outstanding research opportunities with cutting-edge technologies, a global and interdisciplinary network, and a wide range of courses for developing technical and transferable skills. PHGS is a graduate education program of Universität Hamburg in cooperation with Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY).
PIER PhD projects cover the areas of:
- Particle and Astroparticle Physics
- Nanoscience
- Photon Science
- Infection and Structural Biology
PhD positions are paid with at least 50% of TVL 13 (approx. 1.800 € gross). There are no tution fees. Language of instruction is English.
