Το Ελληνικό Παρατηρητήριο (Hellenic Observatory) αποτελεί κομμάτι του Ευρωπαϊκού Ινστιτούτου της Σχολής Οικονομικών και Πολιτικών Επιστημών του Λονδίνου (LSE) και εστιάζει στην ανάλυση, υπό το πρίσμα των κοινωνικών επιστημών, των πολιτικών, οικονομικών και κοινωνικών εξελίξεων σε σχέση με τη θέση της Ελλάδας και της Κύπρου στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση και την περιοχή της Νότιο-Ανατολικής Ευρώπης.

Το Ελληνικό Παρατηρητήριο αναζητά ένα άτομο για τη θέση του "Research Officer". Η θέση είναι με σύμβαση ορισμένου χρόνου και διαρκεί 12 μήνες.

The Hellenic Observatory seeks to appoint a Research Officer who will engage in the management of external research projects; help develop a programme of research, seeking external funding, in conjunction with Hellenic Observatory academic staff; and will pursue his/her own high-quality research related to Greece and/or Cyprus.

 The Research Officer will:

1. Largely be responsible for managing a series of external research projects undertaken for the Hellenic Observatory (HO Research Calls Programme)
2. Work with academic colleagues to develop research project(s) on Greece and/or Cyprus and actively seek external funding to support them. 
3. Pursue his/her own independent, high-quality research related to the public policy agenda in Greece and/or Cyprus.
4. Support the general activities of the Hellenic Observatory, including managing its working paper series.

You will have a completed PhD in one of the following areas: public policy; political science; economics; international relations. Preference may be given to candidates with skills in quantitative analysis. You will have a comprehensive and substantial knowledge of contemporary Greece, together with evidence of publication and/or project delivery through independent original research.

You will have the ability to analyse and research complex ideas, concepts or theories, and experience of establishing context for research projects and (as appropriate) establishing databases and models; experience drafting research projects and grant applications; good team-working and excellent communication skills
